Privacy Policy for Yondo-Music Academy
Your privacy is important to us at Yondo-Music Academy.
This policy explains what information we collect, how it’s used, and the steps we take to protect it. It describes the data processing in the iOS and the Android version of YMA.
Information Collection and Use
Account Creation:
We collect usernames and passwords solely for user account management and secure app access.
This information is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to external servers.
In-App Purchases (iOS version, App Store):
Purchases are managed through Apple’s StoreKit.
We store Apple’s unique transaction identifiers to restore previous purchases if you reinstall the app or sign in on a new device.
No purchase information is directly handled or retained by Yondo-Music Academy.
User Progress Data:
Points and progress are tied to your account and synced across devices.
If you delete your account, all associated data, including points and purchases, will be permanently deleted.
Information Sharing
We do not share collected information with third parties unless required by law.
All account data and in-app purchase identifiers are stored securely on your device.
Data Access and Security
Data Access:
Our app currently does not access additional device data such as location, camera, or microphone.
Should this change in a future update, we will update this policy and seek user consent as required.
Security:
We use secure hashing methods for passwords, and all communications between the app and Apple servers are encrypted via HTTPS to ensure data security.
Pricing Information
Prices for in-app purchases are displayed in the local currency, except in specific regions like Canada, where they appear in U.S. Dollars (USD).
Final pricing, inclusive of any applicable taxes or fees, is confirmed at checkout through the App Store.
Changes to this Policy
If this privacy policy changes, you will be informed through an app update.
Continued use of the app after any changes implies acceptance of the new policy.

Addendum for the Android version (Google Play)
This addendum applies to the Android version of the app from the Google Play Store.
Sign-in and profile
Signing in inside the app only selects a local profile on your device. There is no user account on our servers. The password you enter is neither transmitted nor stored. Profile name, score and learning time are stored locally in the app’s storage. If you have enabled Android’s device backup, Android can keep an encrypted backup of it in your Google account and transfer it to a new device.
Purchases and subscriptions
Purchases and subscriptions are handled by Google Play. Your payment details are processed by Google. We neither receive nor store them. The app only asks Google Play which products belong to your Google account, in order to unlock the chapters you bought. „Restore purchases“ makes the same query again.
Content
Recordings, videos and the method book are downloaded through Google Play as additional packs. Google’s privacy terms apply to that download.
Permissions
The app requests no sensitive runtime permissions, so no camera, microphone, location, contacts or storage access. It uses vibration for haptic feedback. Google Play components use network and background services solely for purchases and for downloading the content.
No advertising, no analytics
The app contains no advertising, no advertising ID and no analytics or crash reporting library.
Unlocked chapters
Which chapters are unlocked is deliberately excluded from the device backup. That information is queried again from Google Play on every start instead.
Speech output
Where no recording exists, the app uses your Android system’s speech output. Whether that runs on the device or uses an online connection depends on the speech engine configured on your device.
Deleting your account
The „delete account“ function removes your local profile and progress from this device. Your Google Play purchase history is not affected, because it belongs to your Google account and not to the app.
Managing your subscription
You manage and cancel your subscription in the subscription area of Google Play. The app links to it in the settings.
Section 2 — YMA Uke Tuner

Summary
This app collects no personal data. There is no user account, no sign-up, no server of ours, no advertising and no usage analytics.
Microphone
The tuner needs microphone access to determine the pitch of your ukulele strings. Access happens only while the tuner is switched on. The audio signal is analysed in real time, directly on your device. Nothing is recorded, nothing is stored and nothing is transmitted; no audio ever leaves your device.
Withdrawing consent
The app asks for microphone permission on first launch. You can withdraw this consent at any time in your device settings. The tuner will then stop working; metronome, chord chart and reference tones remain available.
What is stored on your device
The app remembers your settings: chosen finish, background scene and language. These stay on your device only.
Retention and deletion
We retain no data, because we collect none. The locally stored settings are removed completely when you delete the app from your device. A separate deletion request is neither necessary nor possible, as we hold no data about you.
Purchase
The app is a one-time purchase through the App Store or Google Play. There are no in-app purchases and no subscription. Payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google. We do not receive, process or store any payment data.
Third parties
The app contains no advertising libraries, no advertising identifier, no analytics library, no crash reporting and no third-party SDKs. No data is shared with third parties, because no data is collected.
International transfers
No personal data is transferred to third countries.
Works offline
Tuner, metronome, chord chart and reference tones work fully offline.
Children
The app is rated 4+ and collects no data from anyone, regardless of age.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. As we neither collect nor store any personal data about you, we hold no data to which these rights could apply. For questions, contact us at the address above.
Changes
Should this app’s data handling ever change, this policy will be updated beforehand and the date adjusted.
