How it works & tips for accuracy
This edition reads receipts with on-device OCR (Tesseract) — free, private, and no account needed. It works best on flat, well-lit, straight photos. Crumpled, faded or angled receipts read less reliably — that's what the yellow flags and editable cells are for.
Not supported here: PDF files and iPhone .HEIC photos — save those as JPG first. For tricky receipts at higher accuracy, use the AI edition instead.
